Visit of Leon A. Dogan

Master Leon A. Dogan from the Great Britain, close student of grandmaster Lam Chun Sing, accepted our invitation and in April 2006 found some time in his full programme and honoured our school with a visit for a week.
We first met master Leon A. Dogan at the Ruzyně airport in Prague, from where we went to Pilsen. We accommodated master at a hotel near the gym. After short rest, a festive dinner in old Czech restaurant Stará sladovna followed.

We started with trainings already the other day from 9 a.m. Master corrected our basic techniques, taught us how to use kung fu in real fight and how to train properly. He continuously emphasized the importance of giving everything into each training. Stances must be maximum low, punches must be done with maximum power, fists must be maximum clenched.
Morning training lasted till noon, after lunch break, we started to train from 3 p.m. and the trainings ended at 8:30 p.m.

Contents of all trainings was mainly thorough correction and practising of particular techniques, sparring drills and forms lau ga kuen, gung ji fok fu kuen and fu hok seung ying kuen. Master devoted us fully for seven days almost without having a rest. Before his departure, he emphasized the necessity of everyday fully training of kung fu again.

We said good-bye at the Ruzyně airport again. We were sorry that the master’s visit was ending.

We very much appreciate master Leon A. Dogan’s willingness to visit us in our Pilsen school and help in finding a good way to kung fu of the Lam family.
The seminars were visited, apart from members of Czech Federation of Hung Ka-Plzeň, also by friends of hung ka kung fu from Brno and Prague.
